    Expand Health Kenya

Hyperbaric, red light and PEMF, in a garden

The same equipment and the same doctor as our Cape Town clinic, in a private garden room in Nairobi. Open to a small group of members.

    The room

A garden room with serious equipment

Expand Health runs longevity clinics in Cape Town, Bucharest and further afield. In Nairobi we started smaller: a container room in a tropical garden with a hard-shell hyperbaric chamber that goes to close to 2 ATA, a full body red light panel, the HUGO PEMF system and a hydrogen inhalation generator.

Every session is supervised. When you want the medical side, our doctor in Cape Town sees you by video and the tests are done here in Nairobi.

    The 90 minute session

You arrive, spend an hour in the chamber looking out at the garden, then 20 to 30 minutes under the red light or on the PEMF mat with hydrogen running through a nasal cannula and a bottle of hydrogen water to hand. Afterwards there's tea in the garden.

We run 3 or 4 slots a day, one person at a time, and someone sits with you for the whole session.

    How it works

    How a visit works

    Step 1

    Come and see it

Message us on WhatsApp and come by the garden for a look. If you want to try a session while you're here, you can. There is no form to fill in first.

    Step 2

    Consult and test

A video consult with Dr Daniel Blanckenberg at Expand Health Cape Town, then the testing he orders: a longevity blood panel, and where the case calls for it functional tests, microbiome, genetics and heavy metals, all done in Nairobi.

    Step 3

    Get your plan

Dr Dan reads the results and writes a 3 to 6 month plan: which sessions, how often, supplements, and where needed peptides or hormone therapy. Maryke Gallagher builds the nutrition side of it.

    Step 4

    Do the plan here

The sessions in the plan happen in the garden room, 4 to 8 a month for most members, with a follow-up consult to check the results and adjust.

Sessions are wellness services and do not diagnose or treat any condition. Medical advice is given independently by a registered doctor.

    The medical side

Dr Daniel Blanckenberg in Cape Town, by video

Dr Daniel Blanckenberg, integrative doctor, leads the medical work at Expand Health Cape Town. The first consult goes through your history and any results you have. He then orders the testing your case needs, reads it, and writes a plan: which sessions and how often, supplements, and where indicated peptides or hormone therapy. Maryke Gallagher, registered dietitian, builds the nutrition part of the same plan.

Consults are video calls. The tests, from the longevity blood panel to functional panels, microbiome, genetics and heavy metals, are drawn or collected in Nairobi and the results go into your Expand Health record.

Independent registered practitioners. Consults are booked through Expand Health Cape Town.

Sauna and cold plunge, a few steps away

Under the tin roof next to the room there's a wood-clad sauna, a cold plunge and a fireplace with a few weights. Most members finish a chamber session with heat and cold before the tea.

Wear whatever you'd wear to the gym.
